About the Role The Senior Logistics Supervisor at JAS Riverside oversees day-to-day warehouse operations, branch administration, and cross-functional coordination to ensure on-time, accurate distribution of inbound and outbound freight. This role emphasizes inventory accuracy, safety, customer service, and collaboration with Corporate and Regional management to achieve revenue and operating targets.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and inventory management for client accounts with pick-and-pack operations.
  • Maintain facility security and safety; ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and ISO procedures.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and act as a single point of contact for office personnel questions.
  • Develop and own emergency management and HSE plans; maintain safety records and drive safety accountability.
  • Coach, mentor, and cross-train staff; expand staff knowledge across accounts; perform performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with other department managers; prepare and communicate priority duties for the following day.
  • Manage branch office operations and administration to meet company goals; ensure on-time, accurate billing.
  • Collaborate with Corporate/Regional management to improve operating effectiveness and drive revenue and profit within budget.
  • Conduct biweekly sales/operations meetings; assist with sales development.
  • Hire, fire, and evaluate branch staff; foster teamwork and outstanding customer service for internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent communication and writing skills; able to resolve issues quickly.
  • Self-motivated, able to motivate and coach personnel; strong leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to develop rate structures for new customers and adjust for existing customers.
  • Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines; excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and small electric tools; working knowledge of forklift/material handling equipment.
  • Facility management experience; knowledge of import/export regulations for containerized, van, or flat-bed shipments; TSA regulations.
  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in distribution, freight forwarding, operations, or warehouse management.
  • Certification in Hazardous Training preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Hazardous Training certification (preferred).
