About the Role Senior Litigation Attorney to support a lead partner on asbestos and complex civil litigation matters for a plaintiff-side firm. This is a long-term contract opportunity with immediate start, offering 100% remote work and a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment. What You'll Do
- Managing a high-volume litigation caseload from pleadings through motion practice
- Drafting and arguing motions, discovery, and other law & motion matters
- Conducting in-depth legal research and writing
- Strategizing with the lead partner on case direction and deadlines
- Operating independently in a fully remote environment while meeting aggressive timelines
- Working 40+ hours per week, with overtime available and expected during busy periods What We're Looking For
- California licensed attorney in good standing
- Strong background in civil litigation (plaintiff or defense)
- Plaintiff-side experience strongly preferred
- asbestos litigation experience is a big plus, but not required (plaintiff, not defense)
- Proven ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage deadlines without daily supervision
- Comfortable handling a fast-paced, high-volume docket
- Excellent legal writing, research, and organizational skills
- Tech-savvy and able to work efficiently in a remote setting Nice to Have
- Asbestos litigation experience (plaintiff-side) is a big plus Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: 80 - 95 USD per hour
