Senior Legal Assistant
The Senior Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing essential Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) support to the corporate practice. By accurately completing day-to-day responsibilities, this role contributes to the smooth running of overall practice operations. The role will primarily impact the team's effectiveness by maintaining high standards of work.
The roles and responsibilities of this job include:

Coordinate lien search and UCC filing projects, including analysis of search results and management of workflow to ensure deadlines are met.

Review security and pledge agreements, aircraft mortgages, leases and related UCC filings to ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements.

Prepare and file UCC financing statements, amendments, assignments, continuations and terminations, and compile and review filing acknowledgments and database entries.

Maintain and update the Firm’s UCC Tool database, including entry of filing data and monitoring expiration notifications with appropriate follow up to relevant parties.

Provide training on UCC preparation, lien search ordering, database use and assist with UCC seminar presentations.

Preparing daily time entries for services performed

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the best practices in Uniform Commercial Code

May review the work of junior corporate team members

Ability to work fairly independently, escalating complex issues for guidance and support
