We’re looking for a Senior / Lead DevOps Engineer to help shape and elevate our infrastructure and DevOps practices. You’ll work alongside our existing team to enhance the reliability, scalability, and security of Hostfully’s SaaS platform, while driving automation, improving observability, and championing operational excellence. This is a hands-on role with plenty of room to innovate and make a tangible impact on how we build, deploy, and maintain our systems.

What You’ll Do

• Own and evolve Hostfully’s AWS infrastructure (EKS, RDS, Elasticache, SQS).

• Provision Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and support developers in self-provisioning it.

• Enhance our CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, automated deployments.

• Enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to further improve observability

• Collaborate closely with development teams to support product development

• Manage infrastructure costs and help make smart scaling decisions.

• Support production operations, including on-call coverage and incident response.

• Lead efforts to continue improving infrastructure security.

• Stay current on AWS and DevOps best practices, and proactively propose improvements.

• Mentor developers and junior engineers on DevOps best practices.

• You’ll Thrive in This Role If You Have

• Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred).

• Proven track record managing AWS environments with multiple services and accounts.

• Expert-level understanding of Terraform IaC tools.

• Holistic understanding of security practices for web applications

• Expertise in optimizing web applications’ costs and performance

• Deep familiarity with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Working knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, NAT, VPC, VPN, Firewalls, TLS).

• Strong background with Unix/Linux systems and virtualization concepts.

• Experience supporting high-SLA production systems in a SaaS environment.

• Comfort working in Agile/SCRUM teams within a fast paced culture.

• Familiarity with Splunk, MySQL (InnoDB), Tomcat, or JVM-based applications.

• Experience supporting breakdown of monolithic applications.

• Prior experience leading IaC migrations projects.
