Summary:
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Language Engineer for the Microsoft AI Experiences team. The role focuses on improving the language capabilities of Microsoft Copilot by designing prompts, evaluating large language models (LLMs), and enhancing AI-generated responses.
Responsibilities include developing prompting strategies, creating evaluation frameworks, researching new prompting techniques, analyzing language datasets, improving model performance, and collaborating with engineers, researchers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality AI experiences.
Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Psychology, Philosophy, Literature, or a related field, 1+ years of experience in context engineering, 3+ years of experience in fast-paced environments, and hands-on experience with prompt engineering, context management, and LLM evaluation. Preferred qualifications include experience shipping consumer products, building LLM applications, and knowledge of software development, data science, and machine learning.
