About the Role This is a senior remote engineering role focused on Java/J2EE development and production support for client projects. You will contribute hands-on development (7-10 years) and be ready to take on L3 tasks, work across multi-server environments, and participate in SDLC-aligned deployments. What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on development in Java/J2EE (Rest API, Servlet, JavaScript/HTML, JSP, JDBC, Struts, Hibernate, Spring).
- Work with multi-server/Tier environments (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic).
- Work with databases (DB2, Oracle, Sybase, etc.) and perform SQL changes as needed.
- Maintain Unix/Linux scripts (shell, Perl) and automate tasks.
- Use job schedulers and monitoring tools (Autosys, procmon, crontab).
- Use IDEs (Eclipse, NetBeans) and manage code with Git, Jenkins, and other repos/deploy pipelines.
- Participate in L2/L3 production support and production tooling (Jira, ServiceNow) and follow incident/problem/change management and SDLC processes.
- Make code changes in production and execute end-to-end deployment steps with quality controls. What We're Looking For
- 7-10 years hands-on development experience.
- Advanced Java/J2EE experience (Rest API, Servlet, JavaScript/HTML, JSP, JDBC, Struts, Hibernate, Spring).
- Experience with multi-server/Tier application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, WebLogic).
- Strong database experience (DB2, Oracle, Sybase).
- Unix/Linux scripting (shell, Perl).
- Experience with job schedulers/tools (Autosys, procmon, crontab).
- IDE proficiency (Eclipse, NetBeans).
- Mid-to-Advanced experience using Git, Jenkins and other repo/deploy tools.
- Experience in a production support model (L2/L3) and in production tooling (Jira, ServiceNow) with familiarity of incident/problem/change management and SDLC.
- Advanced English.
