Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid)

Role Overview

The Senior Java Developer will serve as the primary onshore technical lead for a business-critical platform. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable enterprise solutions while ensuring platform stability, performance, and the delivery of strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will translate business requirements into robust technical designs, lead development activities, and provide mentorship to the development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise application solutions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and project teams to define technical solutions.

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development team members.

• Drive solution design, code reviews, performance optimization, and adherence to development standards.

• Develop and support REST/SOAP services, integrations, and backend services using Java and Spring technologies.

• Design and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL solutions to support application functionality.

• Support production stability, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Contribute to Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and execution.

• Ensure application scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver critical business and strategic initiatives.

• Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and testing real-world, enterprise applications.

• Experience using SVN, Maven, Jenkins, and Sonar, as well as JavaScript tools such as NodeJS, NPM, Jasmine, and Karma.

• Experience in performance tuning and code optimization.

• Experience using Scrum and following Agile best practices.

• Hands-on Java experience, including analysis, design, and testing.

• Experience using the Spring framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Test Framework, and Spring RESTful services.

• Experience developing and consuming web services using SOAP or REST.

• Experience using JPA/Hibernate and developing complex queries.

• Working knowledge of infrastructure for a typical web application, including web servers and app servers.

• Relational database experience with a solid understanding of SQL and modeling concepts.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Javascript functional programming concepts and modern front-end web development standards.

• Web UI development experience with technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, or AngularJS.

• Familiarity with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap.

• Unix shell scripting experience.

• Prior experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or SSIS.

• Experience with AutoSys, Hadoop, or S3.
