Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Scale Java Backends: Lead the development, performance tuning, and architectural evolution of enterprise-grade backend services using Java and the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate).

• Orchestrate Seamless APIs: Design, deploy, and maintain high-throughput RESTful APIs and integration layers to automate complex enterprise workflows across microservices and 3-tier architectures.

• Master SQL & Data Architecture: Architect relational database schemas, optimize complex SQL queries, manage stored procedures, and eliminate data bottlenecks to ensure backend reliability.

• Modernize Codebases & Manage Tech Debt: Proactively refactor legacy systems, reverse-engineer undocumented business logic, and implement modern design patterns to improve operational efficiency.

• Drive Cloud & DevOps Integration: Integrate automated testing and deployment patterns into cloud-native environments (AWS or Azure) utilizing modern Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

• Elevate Engineering Standards: Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through constructive code reviews, author comprehensive technical documentation, and collaborate directly with U.S.-based client stakeholders.

What You Bring

Experience

• 5+ years of dedicated professional backend engineering experience, with a proven track record of architecting distributed systems in nearshore software environments.

• Java Stack Mastery: Advanced proficiency in modern Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate ORM frameworks.

• Database & Architecture Expertise: Solid experience managing SQL databases, writing complex stored procedures, tuning query performance, and building microservices or 3-tier architectures.

• Cloud & DevOps Literacy: Strong working knowledge of Git, automated CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platform deployment patterns (AWS or Azure).

• Engineering Autonomy: Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities, a strong ownership mindset, and the ability to navigate ambiguous codebases independently.

• Language Proficiency: Advanced English fluency (both written and spoken) is mandatory for seamless, real-time collaboration with U.S.-based engineering teams and client leadership.
