About the Role We are looking for an experienced specialist to work for one of our clients in the banking industry. The role involves designing and developing infrastructure, systems and applications (client and server-side) used by Front Office to provide streamlined and revenue-generating services, with close collaboration across global stakeholders. What You'll Do
- Participate in the design and development of cutting-edge infrastructure, systems, and applications (client and server-side) for Front Office revenue-generating services
- Enhance Excel-based pricing/parameter/risk management tools into service-based Web applications
- Liaise with trading, sales, quants, structuring, and tech groups in the equity derivatives business; products span exchange-listed, OTC and exotics
- Rapidly learn in-depth knowledge from both technology and business perspectives and contribute to architecture and implementation, including microservices
- Build and maintain microservices-based applications and strong backend implementations What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience; strong hands-on Java (8 and 17)
- Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security); JPA/Hibernate
- Backend design patterns (MVC, REST API design)
- Experience building and maintaining microservices-based applications
- Strong SQL and relational database skills, including query optimization and performance tuning
- API design, integration, and service orchestration Nice to Have
- Exposure to Java 21 features
- Experience with legacy technologies (JSP, Struts, X-Work)
