About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to work for one of our clients in the banking industry. The role focuses on developing and maintaining full‑stack applications using Java, Spring, and modern web technologies such as React. You will contribute to a microservices-based architecture and work with AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain full‑stack applications using Java, Spring, and modern web technologies such as React.
• Design, implement, and operate microservices with REST APIs for a banking domain.
• Apply Java design patterns and Hibernate-based data access layers.
• Collaborate on code design, reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitLab Copilot, IDE copilots) and explore generative AI for code suggestions, unit tests, debugging, and documentation.
• Embrace AI tools to improve development efficiency and learning.

What We're Looking For

• Java (Core): 6 to 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring DAO, including Spring JDBC and Spring ORM).
• Hibernate
• REST API development
• Java Design Patterns
• Microservices architecture
• Experience working with Copilot or AI-assisted development tools; familiarity with generative AI for code suggestions, unit tests, debugging, and documentation; eagerness to adopt AI tools.
• English at C1 Advanced level.
• Senior level with relevant domain experience.
