About the Role
A senior IT Operations Monitoring Engineer is needed to design, implement, and manage enterprise monitoring and event management solutions using OpsRamp. This role focuses on OpsRamp design, integration with ITSM and 3rd party tools, automation, and establishing standards for scalable monitoring across complex infrastructure. What You'll Do
- Lead design, implementation and integration of OpsRamp-based monitoring and event management solutions for enterprise infrastructure across platforms
- Gather requirements, define strategy, acceptance criteria, and develop implementation roadmaps with customer input
- Collaborate with engineering teams to determine monitoring scope and design integration workflows using OpsRamp Platform
- Implement and manage OpsRamp components, including server onboarding, discovery, dashboards, and reports; troubleshoot deployment issues
- Integrate OpsRamp with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, and other ITSM tools; utilize REST/SOAP connectors and data formats (XML, JSON, SQL, Python, NodeJS)
- Apply best practices for configuration management and automation; maintain OpsRamp solution standards and procedures
- Support non-office hours standby and coordinate with support teams; work with vendors for patches and upgrades What We're Looking For
- 10+ years in enterprise monitoring, event management, infra discovery, automation, configuration management and ITOM integration
- Minimum 5 years hands-on OpsRamp design, implementation and integration with third-party solutions
- Experience collecting requirements, creating implementation strategies and acceptance criteria with customer input
- Experience across monitoring databases, upgrade paths, scaling, automation; strong background in system administration and server onboarding on OpsRamp
- Proficiency in integration design patterns, SOA/EAI, REST and SOAP web services; experience with connectors and data formats (XML, JSON, SQL, Python, NodeJS)
- Ability to troubleshoot OpsRamp deployment issues using debuggers/flow analyzers; strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of network concepts and protocols; experience with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy integration; standby support
- Customer-facing skills; ability to work in multi-skilled environment; coordination with vendors for patches and version upgrades Nice to Have
- Experience with Netcool Omnibus / Moogsoft / Splunk / MF OpsBridge or other event management tools
- Knowledge of third-party discovery tools like ServiceNow and BMC Discovery
