MUST HAVES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4+ years of progressive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.

  • Strong experience with Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and understanding dependencies across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services.

  • Experience with Active Directory or comparable identity platforms, enterprise authentication, privileged access, and service-account management.

  • Experience with infrastructure lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability remediation, change control, incident management, and technical documentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technology layers and teams.

  • Experience building or maintaining automation and repeatable operational processes.

  • Ability to create clear implementation plans, assess risk, define rollback procedures, and execute changes in a controlled manner.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritize competing work, take ownership of outcomes, and operate effectively in a regulated or security-conscious environment.

  • Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience with VMware, Nutanix, or comparable virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure platforms.

  • Experience with AWS infrastructure services, cloud security, cloud cost awareness, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, endpoint or systems-management platforms, configuration management, and enterprise monitoring tools.

  • Experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms, immutable backups, recovery testing, and off-site or cloud-based protection.

  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or comparable automation tools.

  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, life sciences, or another regulated industry.

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices, security frameworks, audit evidence, and formal change-management processes.

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, VMware, Nutanix, ITIL, or comparable credentials.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure across on-premises environments, data centers, cloud platforms, and business locations.

  • Administer and support Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backup systems, file services, and core infrastructure services.

  • Support AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking dependencies, access controls, monitoring, and operational readiness.

  • Support identity and access services, including Active Directory, cloud identity, authentication, authorization, group and service-account management, and integrations with enterprise applications.

  • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, lifecycle replacements, capacity expansions, and decommissioning activities.

  • Monitor infrastructure health, availability, performance, capacity, backup status, and security signals; investigate trends and address risks proactively.

  • Respond to infrastructure incidents and escalations, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, or comparable tools to improve reliability and reduce manual work.

  • Maintain accurate architecture diagrams, asset inventories, configuration standards, dependency maps, runbooks, recovery procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.

  • Build and maintain reliable backup coverage through cross-training, paired operations, structured handoffs, and current documentation for systems owned across the team.

  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including recovery testing, backup validation, restoration procedures, and recovery-time objectives.

  • Partner with security, network, cloud, application, service desk, compliance, and vendor teams on technical issues and delivery initiatives.

  • Apply disciplined change, incident, problem, and request-management practices, including risk assessment, testing, approvals, communications, and rollback planning.

  • Support audit, security, vulnerability-management, access-review, and compliance activities for infrastructure services.

  • Participate in an on-call or after-hours support rotation as required.
