About the Role Senior IoT Platform Engineer responsible for ensuring high availability, stability, and operational integrity of Siemens Energy's core IoT platform deployed in production factory environments. You will advance platform capabilities through intelligent automation, robust DevOps practices, and AI-driven automation across cloud and edge environments to support service growth and digital manufacturing. What You'll Do
- Own platform reliability, API lifecycle, security, versioning, and performance for production IoT APIs and MCP endpoints across AWS and edge environments.
- Design and implement agent-based automation for self-healing, automated workflows, and intelligent alert handling; integrate AI components for proactive operations.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and apply Infrastructure-as-Code using CloudFormation/CDK to manage resources.
- Standardize platform patterns and operational runbooks; lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of distributed cloud-edge systems.
- Support containerized workloads on Linux-based edge environments and maintain architecture diagrams and API specifications for global teams. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; significant IT infrastructure administration, platform engineering, or DevOps experience.
- Demonstrated experience with AWS, CI/CD, scripting for automation; ability to work independently and lead complex troubleshooting; mentor junior engineers.
- Strong knowledge of cloud and edge security, IAM, network isolation, and vulnerability remediation; ability to drive security and compliance across distributed environments.
- Experience with agentic AI, automation, and orchestration patterns; familiarity with IaC concepts and modern DevOps practices. Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation or CDK; containerization and Linux scripting; GitLab CI/CD; experience with edge deployments and AI-driven automation. Compensation & Benefits
