Job title: Senior Industrial Engineer
About the Role Skyworks seeks a seasoned Senior Industrial Engineer to drive capacity planning, bottleneck analysis, and manufacturing readiness to support production demand and factory ramp requirements. You will lead IE studies, develop simulation models, and collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Finance to optimize labor productivity and capital efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Drive capacity planning, bottleneck analysis, and manufacturing readiness to support production demand and factory ramp requirements.
- Lead industrial engineering studies to optimize labor productivity, machine utilization, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop and maintain simulation/analytical models for factory planning, scenario analysis, and decision support.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Finance to evaluate CapEx requirements, cost models, and business cases.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve cycle time, throughput, cost, and operational performance.
- Support manufacturing automation and digitalization initiatives including MES/system enhancements where applicable.
- Lead cross-functional projects and drive implementation of process/system improvements with measurable business impact.
- Establish and maintain IE standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
- Mentor junior engineers/peers and contribute to development of IE team capability.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in IE methodologies, including work measurement and flow analysis; time study; cycle time analysis; WIP profiling; capacity and system modeling; factory/production simulation; manufacturing system optimization; costing and business case analysis; CapEx planning; ramp planning and execution.
- Proven experience in designing and optimizing complex manufacturing/operational systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret and leverage data for decision making.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects and driving implementation in fast-paced environments.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Technical competencies: Advanced Excel (PivotTables, formulas, Power Query; VBA preferred) and Power BI/Tableau; MES knowledge; familiarity with simulation software (Arena, FlexSim, AnyLogic, Simio); AutoCAD; statistical tools (Minitab, JMP).
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments (wafer fabrication, assembly, test, or advanced packaging) is an advantage.

- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt / Black Belt).
- Semiconductor manufacturing experience.
