Job title: Senior Hardware Design Engineer
About the Role Senior Hardware Design Engineer to drive end-to-end system development for one of our client's next-generation portable electronic systems. You'll influence design decisions from SoC pinouts and packaging to cost-effective manufacturing, lead system bring-up, and perform system debugging with lab equipment across cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
- Drive end-to-end system development for next-generation portable electronic systems
- Define SoC pinouts and optimize packaging to support cost-effective manufacturing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead system bring-up efforts
- Perform system debugging and use lab equipment to validate and troubleshoot
- Conduct failure analysis and resolve system-level issues
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years hardware design and development experience in consumer electronics
- Proven track record of delivering platform reference designs
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Cadence
- Strong understanding of system power delivery, stackups, and RLC component selection
- Hands-on chipset bring-up, system validation, and troubleshooting in a lab
- Travel: up to two trips to Asia may be required in one year
- Aptitude for FA and debugging at system level
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years in a related role
- Experience leading socket-based Platform PCB design
- Expertise establishing Board-level PDN and SI specifications
- Experience with battery-powered, wireless, or embedded hardware
- Knowledge of I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, I2S, and USB
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $107,520 - $134,400 per year USD
