Senior Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract W2
Responsibilities
- Developing data pipelines and other data products using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Advising clients on specific technologies and methodologies for utilizing cloud resources to efficiently ingest and process data quickly
- Utilizing your skills in engineering best practices to solve complex data problems
- Collaborating with end users, development staff, and business analysts to ensure that prospective data architecture plans maximize the value of client data across the organization.
- Articulating architectural differences between solution methods and the advantages/disadvantages of each
Required Skills
- 5+ years of data engineering experience.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience building production data pipelines in AWS.
- Experience with ETL/ELT architecture and orchestration frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational database design.
- Experience implementing automated data-quality processes.
- Experience building APIs or data services.
- Understanding of data governance, lineage, security and access-control principles.
