Senior Go Engineer

About the Role Senior Go engineer on the Dashboards team, focused on the systems and interfaces that define partners’ daily operations. You will design, scale, and operate distributed backend services and partner-facing APIs powering reporting, campaign configuration, and real-time analytics for advertisers and publishers across 770 million annual users. What You'll Do

• Own the architecture and implementation of backend services handling billions of daily API events using Go, Kafka, and real-time analytics pipelines.
• Design and operate microservice architectures using Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis for reliable asynchronous communication.
• Build and maintain external partner-facing APIs for reporting and campaign configuration (uploading creatives, retrieving spend data, publishing configuration changes) focused on transparency, reliability, and developer experience.
• Work end-to-end from data ingestion to visualization in a TypeScript React frontend, collaborating with dashboards that use Recharts for fast, scalable graphs.
• Mentor and lead engineers in fast-changing environments; translate business and product requirements into technical decisions; manage stakeholder expectations. What We're Looking For
• 7+ years in software engineering with several years in lead roles (Tech Lead, Software Architect, or comparable).
• Outstanding Go production backend experience handling billions of daily API events; track record of architectural decisions at scale.
• Experience designing and operating distributed microservices using Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis.
• Experience collecting, aggregating, and querying massive event streams from a data lake; familiarity with DynamoDB; aim for few-millisecond API response times.
• Extensive experience with columnar databases (Druid or ClickHouse); building and optimizing queries for dashboards.
• Understanding end-to-end data flow from ingestion to visualization in a TypeScript React frontend; partner-facing API ownership.
• Technical leader who connects business and engineering; capable of performance management and stakeholder communication. Nice to Have
• Experience with real-time dashboards using Druid/ClickHouse and TypeScript React graphs; familiarity with Recharts.
