Job title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the Role

Lead geotechnical engineering efforts for power, industrial and water treatment facilities across North America. Provide expertise in soil mechanics, site characterization, and foundation design, and oversee the production and review of geotechnical analyses and reports while guiding staff engineers.

What You'll Do

  • Supports pursuit phase development of innovative and cost-effective design.
  • Works within a diverse team of geotechnical engineers, geologists, and technicians to capture and implement design lessons and innovations across multiple business units.
  • Leads geotechnical detailed design and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Trains and develops staff geotechnical engineers.
  • Oversees production or review of engineering reports and geotechnical analyses.
  • Travels to project offices, field sites, and performs period field assignments as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 20+ years of geotechnical engineering experience focusing on site characterization, site development, shallow and deep foundations.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the United States.
  • Experience with subsurface exploration, earth retention, slope stability, soft soils, ground improvement, deep foundations, shallow foundations, seismic and liquefaction assessments, machine foundations and/or tank foundations is an asset.
  • Design-build and EPC project experience is a PLUS.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong people skills and ability to lead and direct others.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and perform field work; physically able to access construction sites in various climates.
  • Experience working with AI agents and tools preferred.
  • Regular attendance, reliability, and safety-conscious work habits.
