Senior GenAI Fullstack Engineer (React & Python)

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with hands-on GenAI experience to join a team building AI-powered applications for a major US insurance provider. You will deliver features end to end, from modern React/Next.js user interfaces to Python/FastAPI services and MCP servers that connect AI agents to enterprise systems, all running on Microsoft Azure. The role combines strong fullstack engineering with practical work on LLMs, agents and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive, high-performance user interfaces with React.js and Next.js, using Hooks, SSR / ISR and API Routes.

• Develop user experiences for GenAI features, such as AI assistants, chat interfaces, streaming responses and agent-driven workflows.

• Design and develop backend services and microservices in Python using FastAPI.

• Build MCP servers using FastMCP to expose enterprise data and tools to AI agents.

• Integrate LLMs and AI models into applications, applying prompt engineering, tool/function calling and structured outputs.

• Design, implement and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs between frontend, backend and AI services.

• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to model and manage application data.

• Deploy and run applications on Microsoft Azure.

• Write automated tests across the stack using Jest, Pytest and Cypress.

• Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the daily engineering workflow.

• Collaborate with client stakeholders, architects, GenAI engineers and QA to deliver end-to-end features.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.

Skills

• Must have

• Strong proficiency in React.js and Next.js, including Hooks, SSR / ISR and API Routes.

• Solid backend experience in Python using frameworks such as FastAPI.

• Hands-on experience building MCP servers with FastMCP.

• Practical experience building or integrating AI agents and LLM-based features into applications.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure for deploying and running applications.

• Experience with REST / GraphQL API design and integration.

• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Understanding of HTML, CSS, TypeScript and modern build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack, Turbopack).

• Working knowledge of Git.

• Exposure to microservices architecture.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Pytest and Cypress.

• Experience with Generative AI, including AI models, prompt engineering and AI-assisted development tools.

• Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English, with the ability to communicate directly with US-based stakeholders.

• Nice to have

• Experience building GenAI applications in insurance or financial services.

• Experience with OpenAI GPT, Anthropic Claude or Azure OpenAI APIs.

• Familiarity with RAG, vector search and LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph).

• Experience with frontend AI tooling such as the Vercel AI SDK.

• Experience with Docker, GitHub Actions and AKS.

• Familiarity with AuthN/AuthZ (OAuth 2.0, Entra ID) and compliance requirements for PII in regulated industries.
