About the Role Join AIG's brand-new Generative AI team to design, develop, and operationalize GenAI data pipelines enabling innovative AI models and analytics in insurance and beyond. You will lead data engineering efforts, collaborate across analytics, application development, and data science teams, and help scale solutions for real-world business impact.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and deliver innovative data solutions that meet evolving business needs.
• Mentor and grow junior engineering talent.
• Design, build, and maintain GenAI data pipelines across the business.
• Partner with data architects and senior engineers to implement best practices for sustainable, scalable technical designs.
• Work closely with analytics, application development, and data science teams to foster collaboration and drive innovation.
• Lead onboarding of new business lines to GenAI workflows.
• Deliver on-time, high-quality results on fast-paced schedules while maintaining rigorous standards for development and code management.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Java, JavaScript/React; TypeScript background a plus but not required.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code; be curious and motivated to learn new things.
• Design, develop and implement data processing pipelines in Palantir Foundry; Foundry experience a big plus but not required.
• Experience with testing frameworks (pytest, unittest).
• Understanding of containerization and compute optimization.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs to expose data and functionalities to other services and applications.
• Identify and implement performance optimization for existing code and data processing workflows, including leveraging containerization technologies for parallel execution.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of our data platform and applications.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience setting up E2E engineering pipeline, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Have prior experience leading teams of engineers.
