Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a high-impact team building a next-generation, AI-powered lending platform. This role offers the opportunity to help modernize loan onboarding and servicing processes through the integration of artificial intelligence, large language models (LLMs), event-driven architectures, and modern application development practices.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong full-stack development experience, a passion for emerging AI technologies, and the ability to quickly translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. This position will play a key role in developing intelligent applications capable of extracting, interpreting, and leveraging data from complex financial documents to support automated lending workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across the full technology stack.

• Build backend services using Java and Python.

• Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular and modern front-end development practices.

• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.

• AI-Driven Software Engineering

• Utilize AI-powered development tools and coding assistants to accelerate software delivery.

• Develop and integrate AI-enabled solutions that support intelligent document analysis and workflow automation.

• Prototype and rapidly iterate on new application features using modern AI-assisted development techniques.

• API & Event-Driven Architecture

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Develop scalable event-driven solutions using technologies such as Kafka.

• Ensure system reliability, performance, and resiliency across distributed environments.

• Platform & Data Integration

• Integrate applications with enterprise data platforms and cloud-based data services.

• Work with structured and unstructured data to support advanced business and AI use cases.

• Collaborate on data architecture and platform modernization initiatives.

• Ownership & Delivery

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through deployment and production support.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards, and engineering best practices.

• Collaboration

• Partner closely with product managers, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.

• Translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Contribute to an innovative, collaborative, and fast-paced engineering environment.

• Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications in Java and Python.

• Experience building modern front-end applications using Angular.

• Demonstrated experience designing and integrating REST APIs.

• Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.

• Experience working with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platforms.

• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented design, distributed systems, and application architecture.

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and coding agents to increase engineering productivity.

• Proven ability to deliver production-ready solutions in agile environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within financial services, banking, capital markets, lending, or loan servicing environments.

• Knowledge of credit agreements, loan processing, or structured credit products.

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, AI/ML integrations, or AI-powered document intelligence solutions.

• Experience developing containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience contributing to greenfield product development or emerging technology initiatives.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
