About the Role Databricks is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to help build robust, scalable frontend experiences for our data and AI platform. You will collaborate with product management to deliver customer-focused UI and experiences across data loading, visualization, statistical modeling, and deployment to production artifacts.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with your team and product management to implement frontend features that simplify insights from data across the full project lifecycle, from loading data to visualizing results and deploying as production artifacts.
- Create, deploy, test, and upgrade complex data pipelines with powerful features to visualize data graphs.
- Build simple workflows to create, configure, and manage large-scale compute clusters, networks, and data sources.
- Provide seamless onboarding and management for all members of an organization to become data-driven.
- Deliver a great SQL-centric data exploration and dashboarding experience on Databricks.
- Build an interactive environment for collaborative data projects at massive scale with an easy path to production.
- Advocate for performance, accessibility, security, and usability in frontend architecture.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience leading large multi-quarter efforts with demonstrated customer or business impact.
- Passion for user experience and design and an understanding of frontend architecture.
- Comfortable working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- Motivated by delivering customer value.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or VueJs/Ember).
- Familiarity with server-side web technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in frontend architecture, including performance, accessibility, security and usability.
- Experience building large-scale products.

- Salary range: USD 192,000—USD 260,000 per year.
