Senior Frontend Engineer
We're hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to own and extend the primary public website for a digital-first international TV and streaming media platform; the role focuses on integrating newsroom workflows into the web platform and keeping the site performant and accessible across devices and network conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate and extend the website handed over from the delivery partner.
- Integrate and maintain the headless content management system used by the newsroom, including publish webhooks and editorial preview.
- Keep the site fast, responsive and accessible across devices and across weak and strong connections.
- Implement audience-measurement tags and support the analytics setup.
Requirements
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, with experience in React or Next.js (or equivalent).
- Proven production web delivery: you have shipped sites personally and kept them running under real traffic; be prepared to describe the biggest traffic event you handled and what you changed afterwards.
- Demonstrable performance work with numbers: you can name before-and-after metrics on a real site and explain the methods you used to achieve them.
- Experience integrating headless CMS systems, handling publish webhooks and supporting editorial preview workflows.
- Familiarity with implementing measurement/analytics tags and supporting analytics setups.
Location note:
- Role is remote in Nigeria, with an on-site launch week required.
