About this role
Senior FP&A Analyst
Recruiting Partner: Alex Savas
Nashville, Tennessee | Accounting & Finance | Hybrid | $100,000 to $155,000 | Job ID: 182312
Job Summary
The Senior FP&A Analyst is a forward-looking, strategic role, not a month-end variance-analysis seat. Accounting owns explaining trends and variances; this role looks ahead and digs layers deeper into what drives the business. You will report to the VP of Finance, and the role is an individual contributor for the first year or two.
What you'll do
-
Annual consolidated budget: help build the company-wide budget, the team's biggest annual deliverable.
-
Reforecasts: run multiple reforecasts throughout the year.
-
Strategic analysis (~40%): model high-impact initiatives, such as designing a shared services function and projecting its savings on a potential acquisition's financials.
-
M&A support (~10%): partner with the M&A and development team on deal analysis and modeling.
-
Financial reporting support: help design the monthly reporting package and build deeper-dive ad hoc analysis that explains what is driving results.
-
Treasury exposure: support analysis of corporate debt structuring and capitalization.
-
What we're looking for
-
3–5 years of finance experience. Exceptional candidates with ~2 years will be considered.
-
A background in transaction advisory, investment banking or professional services, ideally followed by a move into FP&A.
-
Expert-level Excel and financial modeling skills.
-
Strong analytical ability and comfort turning complex analysis into clear recommendations.
-
A personable, collaborative style that fits a small, close-knit team.
-
A master's degree is a plus but not required.
-
Why this role
-
See the whole business: work ranges from practice-level analysis to corporate capitalization, treasury and M&A.
-
Strategic, not repetitive: spend your time on budgeting, forecasting and strategic projects instead of variance reporting.
-
Room to grow: strong performers have a path to a management role within 1–2 years.
-
High-caliber team: work alongside analysts from top banking and advisory backgrounds.
