ST&S Finance & Risk provides financial stewardship, reporting, control and risk support to Supply, Trading & Shipping. The Controllership team is part of Core Finance & Risk and owns controlled delivery of close and reporting activities for an assigned business or portfolio. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Controllership and provides technical controllership oversight across co-located, business and technology centre, and service-provider teams.
About the role
To perform billing administration and invoice processing activities in accordance with established procedures and controls, supporting the timely and accurate completion of billing transactions.
In this role You will
Billing Operations
- Complete invoice generation and validation in line with contract terms and pricing
- Perform standard corrections within predefined procedures
- Support billing locks and support release activities in SAP where required
- Perform billing corrections including rebilling and data adjustments
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of billing cycles
IIPA (Invoice Issue Processing & Adjustments)
- Capture supporting documentation for invoice issue investigation
- Prepare adjustment requests for review and approval
- Process approved credit notes and billing corrections following documented procedures
- Resolve invoice-related issues impacting customers and internal collaborators
Customer & Operational Support
- Coordinate information requests with internal participants
- Identify recurring issues and report observations to the team lead
Controls, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to BP financial controls, audit, and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for all billing corrections and adjustments
- Support reconciliation activities and financial reporting where required

- Invoice processing (creation, validation, correction)
- Processing approved billing corrections
- Supporting reconciliation activities
- Documentation and record maintenance
- Credit note processing
- Billing-related SAP transactions in accordance with procedures
What You will need to be successful
- Relevant Business degree /certification or equivalent experience required
- Ability to understand of the business requirements and strategy
- Previous administrative or business support experience preferred
- Proficiency in English
- Must demonstrate high level of proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Excel & Word) and show an intermediate level interest in CRM systems/applications
- Strong time management and organisation skills
- Excellent written/oral communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
- Result-oriented personality and capability to overcome obstacles
- Capability to work in a team or individually if required
- Ability to keep deadlines whilst under pressure without compromising accuracy
- Highly motivated
- Exhibit strong Teammate characteristics, constructive communication and active listening skills at all times
