Stantec is hiring Senior Fire Engineers to join its expanding Fire Engineering capability within the Buildings business in the UK. The role can be worked nationally from any UK Stantec office (London, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cambridge, Birmingham, Derby, Northampton, Redditch, Stoke on Trent, Newcastle, Warrington, Southampton, Ashford, Brighton, High Wycombe, Kings Hill, Oxford, Reading, Almondsbury, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Gloucester, Plymouth, Taunton, Truro, and others), with hybrid/flexible working.
The role supports delivery of fire engineering strategies across a diverse portfolio of projects, from concept through construction and handover, covering both performance-based and code-compliant design. Responsibilities include supporting fire modelling inputs, coordinating with other disciplines, maintaining quality of outputs, and progressively taking on more responsibility for leading projects and design decisions. The role also involves working directly with clients and stakeholders on technical discussions and project coordination, contributing to business development (bids, client relationships), and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements: experience delivering fire engineering strategies for complex buildings, confident communication of technical information to clients/stakeholders, experience in a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, interest in business development and client engagement, and Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working toward chartership with IFE or equivalent.
