About the Role Microsoft's Senior Finance Manager, Cloud Accounting leads the financial planning, analysis, and reporting for our Cloud Accounting portfolio as part of Microsoft's Cloud-first strategy. This role partners with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision making and to optimize cloud financial performance. What You'll Do
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for cloud accounting initiatives.
- Partner with Cloud + Corporate Finance, operations, and product teams to drive strategic decision-making and cost optimization.
- Own or oversee the month-end close process, controls, and financial governance for cloud accounting.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership to accelerate growth and improve profitability. What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, or accounting in technology or cloud-related industries.
- Strong leadership and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams at all levels.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and internal processes; experience with cloud financials is a plus.
- Excellent communication, storytelling with data, and analytical skills. Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS/cloud businesses or Microsoft ecosystem.
- Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA/ CMA) is a plus.
