Job title: Senior Field Test Technician

About the Role Centurion, an Atwell company, is seeking a Senior Field Test Technician to lead testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems including substations and datacenters. This field-based role will involve coordinating activities across Arizona, Ohio, or Idaho and mentoring junior technicians to ensure safety, quality, and on-time project delivery.

What You'll Do

• Provide training and mentorship of entry to mid-level employees to complete testing on basic/advanced electrical devices and elementary systems.
• Perform visual, mechanical inspections and electrical testing on devices and circuits, including standard equipment, meter calibrations, electromechanical and solid-state protective relays, and power quality and load monitoring.
• Assist Project Managers in scheduling, budgeting and billing; fully understand the contractual scope and submit Change Order Requests for work beyond given scope.
• Oversee upkeep and maintenance of electrical test equipment; provide direction for staging test equipment and materials for project execution.
• Communicate issues and test failures to the client and provide remediation actions; review final test reports and compiled project datasheets for client submittal.
• Direct morning safety meetings and provide input on job hazard analysis and risk mitigation efforts.
• Provide mentoring and training in formal environments and on-the-job training to junior personnel.

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong documentation discipline.
• NETA certification is highly preferred.
• Clear, professional communication with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently in the field while coaching others.
