About the Role The Senior Field System Engineer will join Silent Sentinel-based surveillance camera programs to install, commission, and optimize industrial and commercial video surveillance systems. The role involves substantial customer-facing engagements across Pre-Sales and Post-Sales, including design documentation, field surveys, problem resolution, and post-processing to ensure successful task delivery. Regular travel within the UK and overseas is required. What You'll Do
- Participate in Pre-Sales and Post-Sales projects: create final design documentation, respond to customer questions related to the project, and conduct field surveys when required.
- Plan and execute technical tasks according to established processes and instructions, including installation, commissioning and optimization of surveillance camera systems.
- Engage with customers to address problems directly or through internal interfaces; troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues.
- Perform planning and post-processing using advanced tools across technologies to ensure successful task completion.
- Prepare and maintain FE Task Plans and Technical Reports in line with sales/support objectives.
- Travel regularly within the UK and overseas to support customer engagements and project delivery.
- Adhere to safe working practices, undertake risk assessment and mitigation as part of project work. What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in video surveillance camera systems engineering.
- Knowledge of industrial / commercial surveillance cameras and IP67 sealed devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for video surveillance camera systems and IT networking.
- Installation and commissioning experience for surveillance cameras.
- Proficiency in networking principles and tools.
- Certification at Heights for installation (or prior certificate for working at Heights).
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the UK and overseas (25-50% travel).
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to plan and produce FE Task Plans and Technical Reports.
