Senior Field Service Technician
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company and customer safety standards.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, diesel, and related equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues and identify effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and manage parts inventory, tools, and company equipment.
- Provide professional onsite customer support and communicate technical information clearly.
- Work independently in the field while managing priorities, schedules, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and other service personnel.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and required records.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Driving Requirements
Candidates must meet and maintain company driving requirements, including:
- Completion of Driver Application for Employment.
- Successful Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review.
- Completion of required driver documentation, including:
- Driver Disclosure and Release
- Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement
- FMCSA Certificate of Awareness
- Driver Certificate of Violations
- Driver Statement of On-Duty Hours
- Road Test Documentation
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Medical Certificate
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–5 years of field service, mechanical, electrical, diesel, or industrial equipment experience preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment in a customer-facing environment preferred.
- Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.).
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with diesel-powered equipment, pumps, motors, controls, or industrial systems.
