If you’re an electrical engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving critical infrastructure, and seeing the real-world impact of your work, this role offers an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of the electrical systems that keep an advanced manufacturing environment running.

As a Senior Engineer, Facilities Engineering, Electrical, you’ll serve as a key technical expert for site electrical infrastructure, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, emergency power, UPS systems, generators, and lighting. You’ll work across engineering, operations, construction, and maintenance teams to improve reliability, modernize infrastructure, and deliver projects that directly support safe and continuous operations.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a combination of hands-on problem solving, technical leadership, system design, and project execution, rather than being limited to a purely design-focused role.

Responsibilites:

Own and improve critical electrical infrastructure

  • Serve as a technical expert for site electrical systems, including LV/MV distribution, generators, UPS systems, emergency power, and lighting.

  • Help define and continuously improve engineering standards, system reliability, and electrical infrastructure strategy.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen redundancy, resiliency, safety, and system performance. Solve challenging reliability problems

  • Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies that increase equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues alongside electricians, facilities teams, and operations.

  • Support critical infrastructure issues when needed as part of the site’s sustaining and on-call operations. Lead meaningful engineering projects

  • Lead or support the electrical scope of capital projects ranging from infrastructure upgrades to projects supporting advanced manufacturing, cleanroom, and high-tech environments.

  • Partner with contractors, consultants, and internal engineering teams from initial concept through construction and commissioning.

  • Review electrical submittals and RFIs and provide field engineering support to help ensure safe, high-quality execution. Design and analyze power systems

  • Develop and review electrical engineering deliverables such as: Single-line diagrams Load calculations Panel schedules Lighting layouts Short-circuit and coordination studies Arc-flash studies

  • Apply applicable electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE, IEC, and local requirements. Make our operations more efficient and sustainable

  • Identify opportunities to improve electrical efficiency and optimize system performance.

  • Contribute to energy conservation and sustainability initiatives while maintaining the reliability required by critical manufacturing operations. Collaborate across disciplines

  • Work closely with mechanical, architectural, structural, manufacturing, facilities, and construction teams.

  • Bring electrical engineering expertise to multidisciplinary projects and help teams move from complex problems to practical solutions.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities, infrastructure, building systems, power distribution, or a related electrical engineering environment.
  • Experience with LV/MV electrical distribution and emergency/backup power systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical and safety standards, including NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects from design through construction or implementation.
