About the role

As a Senior Facets Product Specialist, you will make an impact by designing, configuring, and optimizing Facets Provider and Core Facets solutions that support complex healthcare payer operations. You will be a valued member of the healthcare technology team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, claims experts, provider operations teams, integration partners, and technical delivery teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that improve operational efficiency and member outcomes.

In this role, you will:

• Design, configure, and optimize Facets Provider and Core Facets modules to support provider management, network administration, and healthcare operational workflows.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate provider and claims requirements into scalable Facets configurations and product enhancements.
• Analyze existing Facets implementations and recommend improvements that increase provider data accuracy, streamline operations, and enhance system performance.
• Lead testing activities for Facets enhancements, validating functionality and ensuring successful deployments with minimal business disruption.
• Provide advanced production support, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions that improve system stability and user satisfaction.
• Collaborate with claims and provider operations teams to align system configurations with business rules, benefit structures, and adjudication requirements.
• Support data integrations and ensure consistent provider information flow across connected healthcare applications and reporting platforms.
• Develop documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-sharing resources to support ongoing product management and team enablement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating system performance metrics and recommending enhancements that deliver measurable business value.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and healthcare regulatory requirements related to provider and claims data management.

What you need to have to be considered

6+ years of hands-on experience configuring, supporting, and optimizing Facets Core solutions within healthcare payer environments. Extensive experience with Facets Provider modules, including provider maintenance, contract configuration, network management, and reimbursement structures. Strong knowledge of healthcare claims processing, benefits administration, and adjudication workflows. Proven ability to gather requirements, analyze complex business needs, and translate them into effective Facets configurations and enhancements. Experience supporting production environments, troubleshooting issues, conducting root cause analysis, and driving resolution efforts. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams. Experience coordinating testing activities, validating business outcomes, and ensuring high-quality system releases. Knowledge of healthcare payer operations, provider lifecycle processes, and regulatory compliance requirements. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.

These will help you stand out

Experience with provider data integrations and enterprise healthcare systems. Knowledge of healthcare industry standards, regulatory requirements, and payer best practices. Experience participating in digital transformation or Facets modernization initiatives. Familiarity with provider reimbursement methodologies, pricing structures, and network optimization strategies. AHIP certification, Facets product training, or other healthcare payer technology certifications.

Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until October 25, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $82,000-$90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
