About the Role At AIG, we are reimagining risk management and seeking a Senior Executive Underwriter to lead Excess Casualty initiatives for National Accounts. This role offers opportunities to grow underwriting expertise, lead complex cases, and shape broker relationships while contributing to AIG's risk solutions. What You'll Do

  • Take ownership for achieving goals and outcomes.
  • Oversee a range of programs and processes, in addition to handling complex underwriting.
  • Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and make sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, judgment, and a risk mindset.
  • Build effective relationships with brokers and deliver a high standard of customer service as an example for the team.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning while mentoring and developing colleagues through effective leadership, role modeling, and training programs.
  • Facilitate personal growth and career development, supporting succession planning.
  • Play a key role in new business development, including attending broker events and building new relationships across the market. What We're Looking For
  • Proven underwriting experience in Excess Casualty and a successful record of selling Environmental, Excess or Primary Casualty, NA Auto, WC, AL, GL, DBA, Foreign Casualty products to clients.
  • Deep technical expertise.
  • Proven people management skills and a record of developing more junior colleagues is highly desired.
  • The ability to analyze financial statements.
  • Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer and sales-oriented behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable. Nice to Have
  • Experience managing more junior colleagues; leadership experience is highly desired. Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary range for this position is $145,000-$175,000 per year; eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
  • Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
