About the Role Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimation for civil and transportation projects, supporting preconstruction and client engagements. You will develop detailed estimates, analyze plans and specifications, and drive value engineering opportunities and competitive bids. What You'll Do
- Develop relationships with Accenture and be the “go to” to review construction plans and specifications during preconstruction to prepare and complete estimates for new construction and renovation projects.
- Prepare accurate and detailed construction cost and project cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction document level design.
- Work as an integral part of our Estimating Team to perform plan and specification analysis, takeoff, and pricing of various types of construction projects; prepare detailed bid analysis and independent estimates; present findings to management and clients.
- Research prices on material and labor using published documents, local conditions, market studies; acquire and evaluate historical and vendor cost data; forecast future costs.
- Prepare technical evaluations, cost estimating draft reports, memos, and letters; present recommendations to management and client; participate in value engineering studies, reconciliations, and negotiations with contractors.
- Attend client meetings and feel comfortable presenting to groups of various sizes and stakeholders; identify improvement opportunities within the Estimating Team to add value.
- Remote/hybrid work arrangement with some in-person time for collaboration; flexibility to support work/life needs. What We're Looking For
- Experience estimating on Civil/Transportation projects and/or programs (roadway, bridges, transit, rail, highway, traffic control, utility, etc.)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Engineering, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture is required
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; knowledge of estimating software. Nice to Have
- Thorough understanding and some experience working within Accenture's key market sectors
- Ability to manage a team of staff, of various disciplines, both in an office setting and remote and efficiently complete deliverables and meet deadlines while motivating teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several assignments
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and superior active listening skills
- Learning oriented, creative and possess advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to transfer prior experience to new projects
- Must be a self-starter that is reliable, responsive to internal and external client needs, professional, and have the ability to maintain long-term relationships with clients and other construction related and business professionals and handle confidential information with discretion and trustworthiness Compensation & Benefits
