About the Role
Senior EP Field Clinical Specialist – Southwest is a field-based role focused on providing technical and clinical support for Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) technologies. The role works with the Clinical Affairs Organization to support EP BU clinical studies, troubleshoot protocols, train sites, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to advance EP product initiatives. The position is remote for Southwest US candidates with travel up to 75% during active trial enrollment.
What You'll Do
- Provide field support for clinical research enrollment and procedures in EP therapy area.
- Serve as technology, protocol and clinical trial procedure expert for Abbott stakeholders, physicians, and research personnel at the site.
- Maintain and develop a productive clinical territory; manage site qualification and startup activities, including site/sponsor expectations.
- Facilitate contract/budget escalations as part of the start-up process.
- Train facility staff regarding protocol requirements and technology.
- Drive Clinical Trial Enrollment by developing site-specific enrollment strategies and addressing site challenges; provide ongoing feedback to optimize patient safety and study progress.
- Support all study-related aspects to research partners (protocol, standard of care, clinical trial reimbursement, etc.).
- Responsible for product reporting and troubleshooting with customers and field personnel within the EP BU clinical research portfolio.
- Collaborate with territory Clinical Site Leads to share best practices and improve data quality; provide feedback to Clinical Scientists and study teams.
- Act as a scientific interface with healthcare professionals; contribute to product education, training materials, and regional/national launches.
- Develop cross-divisional relationships to facilitate communication between Abbott and the medical community; provide product feedback to Product Planning and Marketing.
- Proactively drive sustained site performance, identify issues, and develop plans to augment success and manage trial complexity.

- Experience in electrophysiology field clinical roles with demonstrated ability to provide technical and clinical support for EP-related studies.
- Ability to travel up to 75% during active clinical trial enrollment and to work in a field-based, remote setting.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with sites, Clinical Site Leads, study teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Capacity to train facility staff, manage complex trial logistics, and develop site capabilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal oversight to drive results.
