Senior Enterprise Architect

About the Role Wipro is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to drive architectural solution design and thought leadership, enabling delivery teams to deliver high-impact client engagements. The role focuses on creating scalable, reliable enterprise architectures for new deals and major changes, while guiding strategy, governance, and reusable patterns. What You'll Do

• Develop architectural solutions for new deals and major change requests, and create enterprise-wide architecture that is scalable, reliable, and manageable.
• Provide solutioning for RFPs and ensure overall design assurance.
• Define direction to manage the portfolio of to-be-solutions, including systems, shared infrastructure services, and applications.
• Analyze technology environment, enterprise specifics, and client requirements to establish a collaboration solution design framework/architecture.
• Provide technical leadership to design, development and implementation of custom solutions using modern technologies.
• Define current-state solutions, identify improvements, options & tradeoffs, and define target-state solutions.
• Articulate, document and communicate architectural targets, recommendations, and reusable patterns; propose investment roadmaps.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions to integrate with the broader technology ecosystem.
• Collaborate with IT groups to transition tasks, ensure performance, and resolve issues.
• Document architectural designs and solutions in detail (App view, multiple sections & views).
• Validate solutions/prototypes from technology, cost, and customer differentiation perspectives.
• Identify problem areas and perform root-cause analysis to provide relevant solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, program/project, and consulting teams to reconcile solutions with architecture.
• Track industry and application trends and relate them to current and future IT needs.
• Provide technical and strategic input during project planning through architectural designs and recommendations.
• Review objectives/constraints with stakeholders to ensure conformance with Enterprise Architecture; identify implementation risks.
• Enable delivery teams by building and maintaining relationships with executives, product owners, and other stakeholders to act as a trusted advisor.
• Develop and establish technical, business process, and support metrics (KPIs, SLAs) to drive results.
• Manage multiple projects and report status while adhering to PM standards.
• Identify technical, process, and structural risks with mitigation plans.
• Ensure quality assurance of architectural decisions and provide mitigation support to delivery teams.
• Recommend tools and automation for improved productivity and reduced cycle times.
• Lead development/maintenance of enterprise framework and artefacts.
• Foster trust and collaboration across product teams; ensure consistent application of architecture principles and standards.
• Support pre-sales with compelling solution designs and client presentations.
• Negotiate and coordinate with client teams to meet requirements and demonstrate impact of the proposed solution.
• Demonstrate thought leadership with strong technical capability to win client confidence and act as a trusted advisor. What We're Looking For
• Deep experience in enterprise-wide architecture, solution design for new deals, and RFP responses.
• Strong technical leadership across design, development, and implementation of custom solutions.
• Ability to define current and target state architectures, with clear tradeoffs and roadmaps.
• Proven skills in documentation, architecture governance, and artefact development.
• Excellent collaboration with sales, project, and consulting teams; ability to reconcile solutions with architecture.
• Experience in risk identification, mitigations, and governance.
• Strong client engagement and communication skills; ability to present complex designs clearly.
• Experience in mentoring and developing junior architects and engineers; team management capabilities.
• Knowledge of frameworks, reusable patterns, and automation to improve delivery efficiency.
• Ability to develop POCs, demos, white papers, and thought leadership content.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. Nice to Have
• Experience developing POCs, case studies, and demos for new growth areas.
• Ability to author white papers and blogs to articulate Wipro’s solution design and architecture viewpoint.
• Track record of analyst recognition, client testimonials, and partner credits.
• Experience speaking at forums or public events to establish thought leadership.
• Prior experience mentoring developers, designers, and junior architects.
