Senior Engineering Technician II, Field Service

About the Role As a Senior Engineering Technician II, Field Service, you will support customers by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing advanced semiconductor capital equipment. You will serve as a technical expert in the field, delivering exceptional service while ensuring equipment performance, reliability, and safety. • Perform installation, qualification, preventative maintenance, and remedial repair activities on complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software-related equipment issues in customer manufacturing environments.
• Provide timely and professional technical support to customers while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Interpret and utilize electronic and electro-mechanical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation to diagnose equipment issues.
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and process improvements as required.
• Document service activities, maintenance actions, and technical findings accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with engineering, technical support, and customer teams to resolve complex issues and improve equipment performance.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a safety-first mindset while working with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Travel domestically and internationally (25–75%) to support customer installations and service requirements. What We're Looking For
• Associate degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent military technical training.
• 5+ years of field service, customer support, or semiconductor manufacturing experience involving complex capital equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with complex microprocessor-controlled electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics/drawings.
