Job title: Senior Engineering Manager
About the Role Fingerprint is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead cross-domain platform and infrastructure initiatives. You will shape the technical roadmap, develop leaders, and operate with a high degree of autonomy to impact the Cloud Platform and Security & IT functions. This role reports to the VP of Engineering and is fully remote.
What You'll Do
- Lead Across Domains: own outcomes across multiple teams or workstreams. You are responsible for the health, delivery, and strategic direction of your full domain.
- Develop other managers and senior engineers: run substantive 1:1s, build succession plans, expose emerging leaders to cross-domain initiatives, and create the conditions for people on your team to grow beyond their current scope.
- Build headcount plans proactively: anticipate growth needs before they become capacity constraints and bring staffing proposals to leadership with rationale and timing.
- Set Technical Vision: define the architectural strategy for your domain. You are not just reviewing designs — you are setting the direction, identifying systemic risks, and making trade-offs visible to leadership before they become incidents.
- Mentor other managers and senior ICs on complex technical topics.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple teams or large programs with accountability for health, delivery, and strategic direction.
- Track record of developing managers and senior engineers, including running effective 1:1s and building succession plans.
- Ability to create and communicate long-term technical roadmaps and architectural strategies, with emphasis on cross-domain collaboration and risk management.
- Strong experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes), site reliability (SRE), and FinOps concepts.
- Familiarity with security, IT operations, and compliance functions, and the ability to align security posture with business needs.
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to operate with autonomy and executive visibility.
Nice to Have
- Experience in security and compliance leadership spanning application security, IT operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in remote or globally distributed teams.
