About the Role
We are expanding our LatAm teams by establishing a new São Paulo engineering hub, building high-impact teams on the ground. We are seeking a Senior Engineer to be among the first members of these local teams and help shape our local culture, processes, and technical direction. You will develop and enhance products for Brazil customers while collaborating with global teams to evolve our KYC/KYB and money movement platform.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy features and services tailored for the Brazilian market, focusing on the Brazil Business, Consumer, and PIX experience.
- Propose and advocate for high-quality technical designs that are scalable, reliable, and compliant with local regulations.
- Conduct rigorous code and design reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain and elevate engineering standards globally.
- Implement integrations with local banks, payment providers, identity/business verification vendors, and financial partners across the region.
- Automate and improve onboarding workflows and compliance checks (KYC/KYB) for different customer types.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in other global offices to align on product vision and technical implementation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring stability and performance of our systems.
- Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for your area of ownership within the Brazil Regional team.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor within São Paulo hub, helping onboard and guide new engineers.
- Stay updated on Brazilian and LatAm market trends, payment systems, and regulatory requirements to inform product development and ensure compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Strong technical and product sense with experience building scalable financial software; familiarity with payments, KYC/KYB, and local integrations.
- Experience designing, reviewing, and evolving systems; ability to mentor and work with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of the Brazilian market, regulatory requirements, and local payment systems (e.g., PIX).
- Proactive, collaborative leader capable of shaping technical direction in a growing hub.

- Experience building and leading teams in a new market or hub.
- Prior exposure to Latin American payments landscapes and regulatory environments.
