About this role
Job title: Senior Engineer - Manufacturing Process Development & Project Management
About the Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will lead manufacturing process development and project management initiatives to ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery. You will drive cross-functional collaboration, identify and manage risks, and continuously improve development and ramp-to-production processes to enhance competitiveness and product reliability.
What You'll Do
- Project planning and execution: Lead project team, establish milestones and detailed plans, continuously update progress, and adjust when deviations occur; assign and track tasks to ensure on-time completion.
- Project cost and budget management: Control product cost during development phases (Phase 0–4), verify and regularly report full lifecycle cost and price; drive procurement, engineering, and factory teams to optimize costs and processes to reduce product price.
- Project communication and coordination: Organize regular project meetings, report progress, cost, quality, and risk to stakeholders; ensure timely reporting at key milestones and maintain information transparency.
- Project risk management: Identify lifecycle risks (e.g., cost increases, schedule delays), propose mitigation plans, and escalate to management; implement closed-loop risk management (detect–analyze–correct–follow-up–close).
- Change and engineering support: Responsible for post-change management and VE/VA projects; assess engineering change requests, report feasibility and estimate time/cost impact; support production lines and design workshops to solve design-related issues.
- Product development and quality assurance: Ensure product development follows design guidelines and maintains high quality; participate in lessons learned, case studies, technical reviews, and share experiences with the team.
- Continuous improvement and knowledge transfer: Participate in production ramp activities, promote standardization and innovation; lead project reviews, organize lessons learned and optimize project management methods and tools, contributing safety-system project experience to the knowledge base.
