Job title: Senior Engineer
About the Role A Senior Engineer position in Power Substation Physical Design in Knoxville, TN, hybrid in-office, collaborating in a team environment to provide engineering design support for physical design of power substations ranging in voltage levels from 34.5kV to 500kV.
What You'll Do
- Perform Physical Substation design with a high degree of accuracy (Quality)
- Mentor junior Engineers/Designers
- Review work of other team members
- Use MicroStation to create the assigned deliverables
- Interact with the Customer and meet their schedule and budgeting requirements
- Work safely and as part of a team/individually
What We're Looking For
- ABET-accredited BSEE or BSME (required)
- 8-12 years of experience in the power utility industry
- PE license
- Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor, MicroStation
- Strong communication and constructability skills
- Ability to communicate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels
- Willingness to work in a hybrid Knoxville, TN environment
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor would be considered a plus
- Proficiency with MicroStation
