Job title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer (m/w/d) – Günzburg
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop and implement embedded software for microcontroller- and Linux-based systems in water treatment and environmental technology applications. You will collaborate closely with hardware, system architecture and test teams from concept through to serial production.
What You'll Do
- Development and implementation of embedded software for microcontroller- and Linux-based systems
- Development of embedded devices in water treatment and environmental technology
- Creation and maintenance of firmware in C/C++ (essential) as well as Rust and Python (a plus)
- Analyze, structure and optimize existing software architectures and systems
- Close collaboration with hardware development, system architecture and test teams
- Performing unit, integration and system tests as well as hardware and lab tests
- Creation of technical documentation and participation in specifications
- Definition, structuring and coordination of work packages with external development partners
- Review and approval of results from external service providers
- Support of the entire development process from concept to series readiness
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Technical Informatics, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded software development
- Very good knowledge of C/C++ (essential)
- Experience with Embedded Linux systems
- Knowledge of Rust and/or Python advantageous
- Experience with embedded devices, sensor systems or industrial applications
- Basic electronics and hardware interfaces knowledge
- Knowledge of web technologies, server communication or IoT advantageous
- Basic UI/UX understanding is desirable
- Experience working with external development partners
- Structured, analytical and independent work style
- Team spirit and communication skills
- Fluency in German and good English
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Rust and/or Python is advantageous
