About this role
About the Role Senior Electrical Engineer focused on RF hardware for professional and mission-critical markets. You will design high-performance RF sub-circuits and drive robustness for production, certification, and cross-functional integration with software teams to deliver reliable Land Mobile Radio (LMR) solutions. What You'll Do
- RF Hardware Development: design and development of Transmitters, Frequency Generation Units (FGU) and Receiver circuits for LMR-based modems.
- Compliance & Certification: troubleshoot RF performance issues related to regulatory certification and conformance testing (ETSI, FCC, P25).
- Design Tools: proficient in EDA software for schematic capture and PCB layout, with strong preference for Cadence Allegro/OrCAD.
- Systems Integration: manage the hardware-to-software integration lifecycle; develop custom test scripts to automate testing using RF and digital diagnostic equipment.
- Validation & Documentation: execute comprehensive electrical testing and validation plans; generate detailed technical documentation including test reports, root cause analysis, and design change resolutions.
- Operational Support: provide functional verification and manufacturing support to ensure smooth design-to-production transitions. What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical (RF), Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience: 3–7 years of hands-on RF and hardware design.
- Tools: proficiency in Cadence for schematic capture and PCB layout; experience with ADS or CST preferred.
- Technical Competencies: strong RF expertise in passive RF designs (Tx, Rx, FGU, VCO) and verification using simulation test-benches, hardware emulation, and lab diagnostics.
