Senior Electrical Engineer
We are seeking a Senior, Licensed Electrical Engineer to join our Phoenix team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in electrical engineering and building systems design, with experience in healthcare, laboratories, manufacturing, educational, and commercial facilities.
This role involves leading electrical design projects from concept through construction and project completion while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, laboratory, educational, and government facilities.
- Develop electrical designs and construction documents using BIM-based design tools.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate existing electrical systems, equipment, and project requirements.
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, quality requirements, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review junior engineers’ work and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Stay current on electrical codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
- Support projects from initial concept through construction administration and post-occupancy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience with a consulting or design-build firm.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM PowerTools for Windows (PTW), or similar electrical design software.
- Experience with government, healthcare, laboratory, corporate commercial, or educational facilities.
- Strong technical, communication, project coordination, and leadership skills.
