About this role
Senior Electrical Engineer at ExxonMobil’s Fawley site, supporting multiple business units with electrical engineering expertise to drive safety, reliability and risk-based decision making, while providing project support. This is a site-based role with some flexibility for remote work.
Provide specialist electrical engineering advice and recommendations to Process and Maintenance Departments on day-to-day matters, ensuring electrical supply meets demand, investigating equipment failures, and driving reliability improvements. Support projects with screening studies, design bases and specifications for specialist projects. Advise management on electrical safety, infrastructure and technology issues. Provide technical leadership and competency development to the engineering team. Identify and lead electrical fleet health improvement initiatives.
An engineering degree in Electrical Engineering. Chartered Engineer status (Engineering Council or equivalent). Relevant electrical engineering experience in an operational COMAH facility, preferably refining or petrochemical. Familiarity with Electricity at Work Regulations (1989) and DSEAR. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and fault-finding electrical equipment; high voltage switchgear; generators; UPS systems; protection systems; and supporting major maintenance activities such as plant shutdowns. Strong analytical, collaboration, communication, decision-making and leadership skills.
