THE POSITION

As a Senior Director Strategic Sourcing here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in driving the procurement strategy and initiatives to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure supply chain continuity. The categories to be managed will include sub commodities Raw Material, Casting and Forging. This is a leadership role with directors managing each of the sub-commodities.

You will report directly to our VP of Strategic Sourcing, Mechanical and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the financial performance of the business through the delivery of cost savings, working capital improvement, and supplier quality by developing and executing annual and strategic procurement plans aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual and strategic procurement plans
• Ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business objectives
• Lead sourcing transition initiatives to optimize the supply base and reduce risk
• Participate in new supplier search and development
• Drive supplier negotiation and contract management
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the procurement team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies
• Improve sourcing processes and performance through effective management operating systems
• Communicate and report transition progress to senior leadership
• Lead supplier management activities to drive deliveries to need and facilitate recovery solutions.

Qualifications

• U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENT

• Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

• YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor/master’s degree in Materials/Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.

• 15+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies

• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills

• Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, such as SAP and e-sourcing platforms

• International experience with exposure to high-growth regions

• Cross-functional experience in engineering/technology, operations, sales/marketing

WE VALUE:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Master's Degree in Supply Chain, or related field
• Extensive experience in procurement
• Complex and large project management and/or contract management experience
• Professional certifications in project/supply chain/procurement/contract management
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen
• Experience with SAP, E-Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
• Experience with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
