About the Role For our Hydropower division at Weiz, we are seeking a Senior Director Global Capital Business Turbo Generator (m/f/d) who will lead the global Turbo Generator product group within ANDRITZ Hydropower. This role owns the business execution and development of the product group, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with the Hydropower strategy, targets, and processes, while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop the Global Product Group in line with ANDRITZ Hydropower strategy and values.
  • Provide end-to-end leadership of the Turbo Generator business, including Product Group management, cross-functional coordination (Project Management, Engineering, Product Management, Sales/Key Account Management, Commercial Management), and people development.
  • Ensure strong alignment across Product Groups, shared functions, regional teams, and Customer Service; manage a globally distributed organization with locations in Linz, Bhopal, and Tiszakécske.
  • Take full P&L ownership for a fast-growing global business, including budgeting and target setting; define and execute global product and market strategy.
  • Drive growth through innovation, technology progression, and process optimization; oversee R&D and ensure product/service quality and long-term competitiveness.
  • Supervise project execution across engineering, sales, and manufacturing to deliver operational excellence; identify new business development opportunities and partnerships, including acquisitions.

What We're Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
  • 10+ years in the power generation sector with exposure to product development, project execution, or strategic business management.
  • Deep knowledge of power generation technologies, rotating equipment, market dynamics, and customer requirements.
  • Proven track record in leading global teams, managing complex product groups, and P&L responsibility; strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Experience in matrix organizations and collaborating with senior stakeholders globally; strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and German; additional languages advantageous; willingness to travel across time zones.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Collective bargaining minimum salary: gross €6,002.02 per month; market-based salary depending on qualifications and experience.
