Senior Digital Content & Communications Specialist
Job Overview
The Senior Digital Content & Communications Specialist supports Digital Technology Solutions by developing, managing, and maintaining clear, accurate, accessible, and engaging digital content across multiple communication channels. This role is responsible for day-to-day content creation, editing, publishing, and coordination for DTS websites, email communications, stakeholder updates, and other digital materials. The position works closely with DTS leadership, service owners, project teams, and university partners to ensure content is aligned with university standards, accessibility requirements, brand guidelines, and the needs of the campus community. This role also supports communications for DTS strategic initiatives, service updates, digital transformation efforts, and internal engagement, helping improve transparency, consistency, and the overall user experience.
Essential Functions
Create and co-create content for distribution across multiple channels, including websites, marketing collateral and social media using AEM and WordPress platforms Review, copyedit, approve, and publish digital content while enforcing the university’s web style guide, and advocate for the CMS. Build collaborations and projects with stakeholders within a focused set of project management tools Serve as a resource for standards, best practices and guidelines around brand, vision, information architecture, content, and accessibility. Evaluate, audit, monitor and maintain compliance with accessibility design and usability standards for a user centric UIX. Advocate and liaise with contributors, users, stakeholders on business centric website content Concept, design and build engaging email marketing campaigns Design and activate social activations as needed
