Job title: Senior DevOps Engineer
About the Role Senior DevOps Engineer to join LUXOFT for a top-tier investment bank project in Bucharest. You will be responsible for configuration management across non-production and production environments, build and deploy activities, and supporting release management throughout the SDLC.
What You'll Do
- Perform configuration management on non-production and production environments
- Build and deploy activities on non-production and production environments
- Support the Release Manager in preparing release notes, deployment instructions and run-books for production deployments
- Provide support for technical infrastructure components (middleware, databases, operating systems)
- Involvement in the whole SDLC flow
- Contribute to problem and root cause analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement of build, deploy and release processes
- Create knowledge base articles
What We're Looking For
- OpenShift application installation and setup
- Preferably GCP know-how and hands-on experience
- Good knowledge of Deployment Automation & CI: GIT, Maven, Ant, Artifactory, Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy
- Bash/Shell scripting
- Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Digital certificates (creation, handling, installation, troubleshooting)
- Operating skills with Linux commands (files/directories, SCP, network/ports)
- SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle usage
- Install new / Upgrade existing product installations in Linux (SUSE or RedHat) environments including silent installers
- Understand and maintain configuration of (business) applications
Nice to Have
- Groovy, Python or other scripting languages
- Knowledge within WSS, PGP or alternative encryption mechanisms
- Java or similar programming language
