Job title: Senior Developer - Component Cost Estimation, Supplier Mgmt

About the Role The Senior Developer will lead Component Cost Estimation, Supplier Collaboration and Negotiation, and Supplier Development & Management to ensure cost-effective component sourcing and optimized supplier performance in a medical device context.

What You'll Do

• Apply 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience to component cost estimation and sourcing strategies.
• Collaborate with suppliers on quality, inspections, and defect resolution; work with Receiving Inspection and Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Utilize SAP or similar ERP systems and Windchill for document control, BOM updates, change orders.
• Create and maintain inspection procedures; develop or source inspection tools; support component testing and approval.
• Partner with Design Engineering on component selection, quality, and reliability; review designs for manufacturability.
• Investigate supplier-related field issues and lead corrective actions.
• Analyze incoming material defects and communicate issues to suppliers; drive supplier development and performance improvements.
• Apply knowledge of FDA, GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 in supplier-related activities.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the medical device sector.
• Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or Receiving Inspection; direct supplier interactions.
• Familiarity with SAP (supply chain or quality modules) or similar ERP; Windchill or document control systems.
• Ability to analyze component costs accurately; strong cost modeling and forecasting.
• Strong negotiation skills; vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
• Experience in supplier relationship management and vendor performance evaluation.
• Ability to implement supplier development strategies and initiatives.
• Knowledge of FDA, GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 14971.

Nice to Have

• SCMP certification would be a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: USD 68,000 - 105,000 per year.
